All of us wants to have young-looking skin even if we age. The one thing that can help us achieve healthy and vibrant looking skin are antioxidants. An antioxidant is a molecule that absorbs the oxidation of other molecules. Antioxidants are chemicals that transfer electrons or hydrogen from a substance to an oxidizing agent that can prevent or slow down cell damage and provide healthy skin. 

Antioxidants are mainly found in fruits and vegetable that we eat. It has a lot of benefits aside from just making our skin glow and look healthy.  It can also make the skin firm, reduce wrinkles, act as an anti-inflammation agent and treat scars. 

There are plenty of fruits and vegetables that contain antioxidants. Here are 10 foods that are high in antioxidants that will make your skin look healthy and glow:

Walnuts are also a good source of antioxidant. An ounce of walnut is loaded with antioxidant that our skin can benefit. They are also cholesterol-free and low in sodium and sugar. 

3. Green Tea

Green tea can exert sun damage protection by damaging the free radicals. It can also lower inflammation by blocking the UV rays. The harmful UV rays can cause skin cancer and wrinkles. Using green tea with sunscreen can effectively give protection from sunburn. It can be frozen as ice cubes and used as a toner. It can give you a healthy and young-looking skin.

4. Pomegranates

Pomegranate contains punicalagin, which is a potent antioxidant. The antioxidant in the fruit can combat inflammation from acne breakouts and clear your complexion. The polyphenols found in the fruit can protect the cells from oxidative stress and stimulate collagen production.
