1. Watermelon

Because 90 percent of a watermelon’s weight is water, it’s one of the best fruits to eat if you’re trying to lose weight. A 100-gram serving contains only 30 calories. It’s also a great source of an amino acid called arginine, which helps burn fat quickly. 3. Avocados

Avocado is a fruit. But unlike most other fruits, avocados are made of mostly healthy fat, not carbohydrates. It's the same heart-healthy fat also found in olive oil called monounsaturated oleic acid. Research suggests that a diet rich in this type of fat may help quell hunger, reduce appetite and even spot-reduce your belly fat. But it’s not just the healthy fat in avocados that makes it weight loss friendly fruit. Avocado also contains more than 20 different vitamins and minerals. One of them is fiber.

Fiber is well-known nutrients that are not digestible by the human body. And because of that, the fiber may help you eat less without trying. Also with a fiber-rich food, more energy often leaves the body than entering it. Avocados' richness in fiber makes it ideal for weight loss.

4. Nectarines, Peaches & Plums

Studies suggest peaches, plums and nectarines may help ward off metabolic syndrome — a name for a group of risk factors, of which belly fat is a predominant determinant, that increases the risk for obesity-related diseases including diabetes. The belly-good properties of stone fruits come from powerful phenolic compounds that can modulate fat-gene expression. Better yet, fruits with pits are among the lowest in fructose or fruit sugar.

5. Pears

Pears are incredible for controlling appetite. Since pears have an average of 5.5 grams of fiber, they keep our digestive systems moving. Fiber helps our bodies absorb the nutrients and vitamins of all the other superfoods on our list. If you’re feeling a little backed up or constipated, slice up a juicy pear and enjoy.

6. Guava

A powerhouse of nutrients, guavas can also help weight loss without compromising your intake of proteins, vitamins, and fiber. This delicious tropical fruit is packed with roughage, vitamins, proteins, and minerals. It’s a win-win when you consider these benefits with its small number of digestible carbohydrates and the fact that guava contains zero cholesterol. Raw guavas have much less sugar compared to fruits such as apples, oranges, and grapes, and they keep the metabolism regulated.

7. Apples

Apples are incredibly nutritious and filling. Research shows they provide many health benefits, including reducing the risk of diabetes and some cancer. There are two properties of apples that make them very weight loss in a friendly way.  Apples contain a high amount of dietary fiber and water. Both've shown to help in calorie reduction and weight loss.

Apples can not only be a healthy addition to your diet but also help you lose weight, thanks to its dietary fiber and a high amount of water. Being low in energy density also promotes fullness after eating and contributes to weight loss.

It’s packed with antioxidants that can reduce inflammation and fight free radicals caused by oxidation. Yet, papaya is relatively low in calories and high in fiber. In fact, each cup of papaya contains 3 grams of fiber, 10% of the daily recommended value. That makes papaya a perfect food for weight loss.

Papaya is also low in energy density or calories per gram. Studies have shown consuming foods that are low in density, such as papaya and other fruits on this list, allow you to fill up without consuming a lot of calories, making easier to lose weight.  What’s also great about papaya is, it's not only delicious but it's incredibly versatile.

9. Grapefruit

The grapefruit diet was a fad not too long ago. Although consuming grapefruit the whole day is not a balanced meal, there is some truth to the idea that grapefruit helps you with weight loss. Grapefruit is extremely low in calories; in fact, half a grapefruit only contains 37 calories.

A recent study showed eating half a grapefruit before your meals lowered your cholesterol level and reduced your belly fat. These benefits may be because of the vitamin C content and phytochemicals present in this fruit. The higher fiber and water content in grapefruit makes you feel full for longer, reducing your unhealthy snacking urges. If you must grab a snack, then choose grapefruit to protect your waistline.

10. Bananas

Bananas are a rich source of potassium and fiber and fruit that contains high amounts of vitamin B6. Vitamin B6 is essential for your body because it lowers your risk of heart disease and helps improve your immune system. Instead of choosing energy bars for an instant dose of energy, eat a banana. A banana is the ideal post-workout food because one contains just 105 calories and is high in fiber.
