5 Things You Absolutely Need For Living A Good Life

Are you living a good life? Living a good life depends on what matters to you. You need to define your values, priorities and goals for life if you want to live a good life. Living a good life can mean something different for each person. 

 

A good life is based on the compassionate deeds you perform, the personal goals you strive to reach and the legacy that you decide to leave behind that indicates the mark you made on the world around you. In this post, I will be sharing with you 5 things you absolutely need for living a good life.

 

1. Connection

An old saying, “No man is an island” is as true as it gets. Admit it or not, but nobody can live alone. Each one of us needs someone to lean on and someone to help us achieve our desires. To have a good life requires us to be connected to others in a way where we will be able to get security and comfort. We experience a good life by having people around us who love us and we love in return.

 

2. Contribution

A contribution is not something that we need to offer for us to be known or be famous. A contribution is the willingness to give something from you that you that others want to have. What matters is you and what you have contributed to the betterment of the community, of other people or the world. It is not necessarily something material, but anything that can make an impact on other people’s lives and your life. Living a good life is knowing that you have given something out of love, out of self-will and sincere contribution.

 

3. Vitality

Vitality is the opposite of depression, anxiety and suffering. Having a good life is living a life full of energy, free from pain, being resilient, appreciative, well and happy. We do not feel like this always, but we can do something to achieve vitality in life. To have a good life is to have vitality; to be able to have vitality, we need to have a profound mind-body connection. We often do not feel vitality because of fear, fear of our future and of what lies ahead. We must accept uncertainty to have a possibility.

 

4. Life’s Desires

Our desire is what keeps us moving forward. It is like a driving force for us to accelerate ahead. Having a desire in life gives us the chance to prioritize some areas of our lives. Having a good life requires us to have a firm definition of what success is and achieving that. When you have your desires in life, you can live with purpose and that purpose is to achieve each of your goals. A good life is having the desire in life that we need to achieve and prioritize.

 

5. Gratitude

Life itself is a gift that we need to be thankful of for every day. For us to have a good life, we need to show gratitude. We have to express our appreciation for having the things we desire and what we need. We should learn to be thankful that we are more blessed compared to others. We may have our problems, but be grateful for those problems as you are not experiencing the same problem as others. We should also be thankful for our surroundings and all the people around us. A good life is the feeling of gratitude to what life is giving us whether it is something good or something that will challenge us.
