Old-school wisdom preaches reaching for cold pizza or a greasy bacon, but some foods are scientifically proven to help cure a hangover.

Drinking alcohol, especially too much, can be accompanied by various side effects. A hangover is the most common one, with symptoms including fatigue, headache, nausea, dizziness, thirst, and sensitivity to light or sound. While there’s no shortage of purported hangover cures, ranging from chugging a glass of pickle juice to rubbing a lemon in your armpit before drinking, few of them are backed by science. It cleanses the digestive system and removes the toxic elements in the first place and secondly, it also plays a very vital role in the circulatory system of the body.

2. Blueberries

You may be tempted to reach for the meds, but medicating with vitamins from whole foods—blueberries in particular—is a much better, all-natural option to perk up a compromised immune system. In fact, you can think of each sweet little blueberry as a pill that’ll make you feel a whole lot better.

1. Greased With Fried Food

Intake of greasy and fried food before the evening party helps in coating the stomach that in result slows down the absorption. If you take greased or fried food items in the morning, it may give rise to gastronomical problems, and you may feel irritation and even pain in your stomach and intestines.
